Saturday, August 1, 2009 several of PAAW volunteers and dogs attended the Kids Expo at River Ranch .

 The Expo was held to raise money for the proposed low-cost spay/neuter clinic now in the works for Lafayette and surrounding area. Wildcat Foundation and Bless the Beasts are heading up the push for a clinic that will benefit cats and dogs in the Acadiana area and their owners.

The expo featured face painting for the kids, Karate demonstrations, fire trucks to explore, snow cones, sodas and food.
PAAW, Lafayette Animal Aid, Animal Rescue Foundation, and St. Martin Humane Society were in attendance with cats, kittens, dogs and puppies for adoption and for petting.
Dogs and their companions from PAAW were Puppy le Pue and Rae Gross, St. Marty and Chelsie Boudreaux, Blaire and Cindi Fox, Andy and Teza Delcambre, and Abbie and Lynne Gross. Barbara Bornemann and Dio Gonzales were at the expo as a volunteers for the Expo.
